through Academic Seminars
From November 6 to 13, 2025, the University of Zielona Góra (Poland) delegation, led by Professor Jakub Kostecki, visited the National University of Uzbekistan (NUUz) to enhance cooperation in environmental sciences and education.
The visit began with a series of academic seminars and lectures on “Soil Reclamation”, delivered to undergraduate and master’s students. The sessions highlighted European approaches to land restoration, sustainability, and soil management. These interactive lectures created a valuable platform for scientific dialogue between Polish and Uzbek scholars.
The two universities also discussed expanding collaboration under the Erasmus+ program, with the signing of a new cooperation agreement planned. The partnership aims to promote academic mobility, joint research initiatives, and co-development of educational programs in environmental and agricultural sciences.
As part of their visit, the delegation toured the Aral Sea field research sites operated by NUUz, exploring opportunities for joint international projects on ecological restoration and climate adaptation.
This visit significantly contributed to strengthening Uzbek–Polish academic ties, fostering the exchange of expertise, and building the foundation for long-term cooperation in sustainable environmental management.
