Promoting Digital Awareness and Legal Literacy Among Youth
The National University of Uzbekistan recently held an educational meeting on “Cybercrimes among young people and preventive measures in the field of information technology.” The event was organized as part of ongoing efforts to raise students’ awareness about digital safety and the responsible use of modern technologies.
The meeting brought together the university administration, representatives of relevant institutions, students, and members of the mass media. The keynote lecture was delivered by Lieutenant Colonel Farrukh Haydarov, a graduate student at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Head of the Department for Coordination of Internal Affairs of the Mirzo Ulug‘bek District of Tashkent city.
During his presentation, Lieutenant Colonel Haydarov discussed the growing risks of cybercrimes among youth, including online fraud, data misuse, and digital misinformation. He also emphasized the importance of raising digital literacy, respecting ethical norms in the virtual environment, and understanding the legal consequences of cyber offenses
