Strengthened Cooperation on Spatial Data Infrastructure and Disaster Risk Planning with the Cadastre Agency under the Ministry of Economy and Finance

As part of its growing international engagement in spatial data infrastructure and disaster risk planning, the Faculty of Geography and Geoinformation Systems of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek has initiated closer cooperation with the Cadastre Agency under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Korea Land and Geospatial InformatiX Corporation (LX) under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea.During the visit delegation visit some faculties at National University of Uzbekistan.


During a recent visit to the faculty, a delegation of LX Corporation specialists—including General Manager Mr. Lee Jong Min, Consultant Mr. Kim Hyun Suk, and IT Engineers Mr. Lee Byung Gi and Mr. Kim Jung Woo—engaged in active dialogue with faculty members. The meeting also included representatives from the Cadastre Agency, demonstrating a trilateral commitment to advancing technological collaboration and climate-resilient spatial planning

The sides discussed joint projects, capacity-building opportunities, and academic exchange. As a result, agreements were reached on collaborative scientific research and professional development activities, particularly in the areas of land management, geospatial data systems, and emergency preparedness.

This cooperation aligns with the broader mission of the National University of Uzbekistan to contribute to national and global efforts addressing the challenges of climate change, natural disasters, and potential population displacement through applied research and international partnership.The visit concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding, laying the foundation for long-term cooperation in geoinformatics and spatial data-driven solutions.
