Promoting Intellectual Development and Youth Empowerment: Rector Meets with the University “Zakovat” Team


The Rector of the National University of Uzbekistan, Inom Madjidov, met with members of the university’s “Zakovat” intellectual club team, who achieved outstanding results at the National Intellectual Olympiad among higher education institutions. The team proudly secured third place in the overall standings and received the President’s prize of 1 billion UZS.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Rector congratulated the students on their success, emphasizing that this achievement was a source of pride for the entire university community. He also recognized the personal contribution of Umida Omonova, a student who won the individual championship round and is a world champion in rapid and blitz chess among youth, for strengthening the university’s intellectual reputation.

During the discussion, the Rector listened to the students’ opinions and suggestions, encouraging them to continue striving for excellence. He instructed the relevant departments to provide the “Zakovat” club with modern technical equipment, encyclopedic literature, and all necessary resources to help the team achieve even greater success in future competitions.

This initiative directly contributes to education which aims to enhance young people’s knowledge and skills for lifelong learning and professional growth which focuses on promoting youth development, innovation, and productive engagement in society.
