International collaboration project

on remote management of energy and water.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed within the framework of a practical project on “Remote Management of Energy and Water in Uzbekistan” (Uzbekistan Remote Water and Access to Energy), in collaboration with the National University of Uzbekistan, Milano Bicocca University, and Ca’ Foscari University.

In recent years, water scarcity has been intensifying due to climate warming. Within the framework of this project, integrated solutions combining solar energy, water resources, and electricity supply are planned to be developed for rural areas of Uzbekistan.

Designing, constructing, and testing a solar-powered water purification system adapted to the conditions of rural areas in Uzbekistan;

Creating a single autonomous system that integrates photovoltaic production, energy storage, water pumping, and multi-stage purification processes;

Expanding opportunities for decentralized drinking water systems and efficient use of solar energy in remote and rural villages;

Developing a bacterial safety system based on UVC LED technology and adapting it to local conditions;

Significance of the project

Through this initiative, people living in remote areas of Uzbekistan will gain increased access to clean drinking water and sustainable energy sources. The project is also expected to address water scarcity, enhance environmental safety, and positively impact agriculture and rural livelihoods.
