Sustainable water extraction on campus

at the National University of Uzbekistan

As part of its broader environmental initiatives, the National University of Uzbekistan (NUUz) has developed a comprehensive and sustainable water infrastructure system that integrates both groundwater extraction and rainwater harvesting technologies. This system not only meets the daily water needs of the campus community but also serves as a model for responsible and innovative water management practices in higher education.

INNOVATIVE WELLS

NUUz currently operates eight modern wells across its campus. These wells are strategically located to ensure efficient groundwater extraction while minimizing ecological impact. The water obtained is primarily used for irrigation and other essential needs, ensuring a reliable supply even during periods of water scarcity.

💧 To ensure precise management of water resources, water meters are installed in all bore wells. These meters monitor the intake and utilization of groundwater.

💧The green spaces and farming areas supported by these wells contribute to a vibrant and productive campus environment.
