The 10-year strategy

The 10-year strategy demonstrates the National University of Uzbekistan’s strong commitment to environmental sustainability, in line with global initiatives to address climate change and protect biodiversity. By prioritizing drought-resistant species, the university ensures both an attractive and welcoming campus environment while responsibly managing natural resources amid growing climate challenges. In addition, each season the university plants new greenery, further expanding its green spaces and reinforcing its dedication to creating a healthier and more sustainable campus.

Trees planted every year of which 60% is drought tolerant

With a total planted area of 26%, the university has dedicated a significant portion of its grounds to landscaping with trees, shrubs, and other vegetation.

IRRIGATION SYSTEM

RAINWATER HARVESTING:

The system utilizes rainwater as a sustainable source of irrigation for the planted areas on campus, reducing reliance on traditional water sources and promoting water conservation.

SMART IRRIGATION TECHNOLOGY: SPRINKLERS

Incorporating sprinklers, ensures efficient and targeted watering of plants based on specific moisture levels, plant requirements, and weather conditions
