University Students Conduct School Outreach Programmes on Clean Energy and Sustainability

As part of its community engagement and sustainability initiatives, the National University of Uzbekistan launched a school outreach programme aimed at promoting awareness of clean energy and environmental responsibility among young students.Within this project, university students and young researchers visited several local schools located near the campus and in the Tashkent region. During these visits, they conducted interactive lessons and demonstrations to explain how solar panels, wind turbines, and energy-efficient devices help protect the planet and reduce carbon emissions. The sessions included simple science experiments, group discussions, and creative challenges encouraging schoolchildren to think about how they can save energy at home and contribute to a greener future.

Educational posters and leaflets prepared by students of the Faculty of Physics and the Faculty of Ecology were distributed to participants.

Teachers and school administrators noted that such visits not only inspire pupils to learn about science and technology but also strengthen the connection between the university and the local community.

Through this outreach programme, the National University of Uzbekistan continues to foster a culture of environmental awareness and sustainable innovation, empowering the next generation to take active roles in achieving clean energy and climate action goals.
