NUUz Hosts Guest Lecture from Tajikistan

As part of the international cooperation outlined in the academic curriculum, the Faculty of Geology and Engineering Geology at the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek (NUUz) welcomed Assoc. Prof. Farid Salikhov Salokhiddinovich, Ph.D. in Geological and Mineralogical Sciences from the Dushanbe Branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University.

During his visit, Dr. Salikhov acquainted himself with the faculty’s educational and research activities, including those of the Department of Geochemistry and Mineralogy. He exchanged experiences with academic staff and explored opportunities for further collaboration in the geological sciences

As part of the visit, Dr. Salikhov delivered a lecture on “Geology of Mineral Resources” to students majoring in geochemistry. The session provided valuable insights into mineral exploration, resource assessment, and modern research trends in geology, enriching students’ academic understanding and professional outlook.

This visit reflects NUUz’s ongoing commitment to expanding its international academic partnerships and fostering the exchange of knowledge and expertise in the Earth sciences.
