International Partnership in Geoscience Education
International Cooperation Strengthens Academic and Scientific Exchange at NUUz
The National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek (NUUz) continues to expand its international academic partnerships and foster collaboration in the field of geological sciences.
On April 24, 2025, Associate Professor Saya Maratovna Abdulanova from the K.I. Satbayev Kazakh National Research Technical University (Republic of Kazakhstan) visited the Faculty of Geology and Engineering Geology, Department of Geochemistry and Mineralogy at NUUz.
This visit is part of the ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation between leading Central Asian universities and promote the exchange of scientific knowledge, teaching experience, and modern research practices.
During her visit, Associate Professor S.M. Abdulanova delivered a series of lectures and practical sessions for students specializing in Geochemistry and Geology.
The classes covered a range of critical topics, including:
✅ Current issues in modern geology, focusing on the challenges of mineral exploration and sustainable extraction;
✅ The evolution of rocks, providing insights into the formation processes and geochemical transformations within Earth’s crust;
✅ Interactive discussions, where students received detailed and highly qualified answers to their academic and research-related questions.
Students expressed great interest in the sessions, noting that the practical examples shared by the visiting professor deepened their understanding of theoretical concepts and highlighted the importance of cross-border collaboration in scientific advancement.
