Uzbek Language Course
The Uzbek Language Course offered by the Department of Uzbek Linguistics at the NUU focuses on providing a comprehensive understanding of the Uzbek language. Department for organizing the activities of gifted students
The Department of Organization of Gifted Students’ Activities is dedicated to identifying, supporting, and developing the academic and creative potential of talented students and master’s degree candidates at the university. Comprising a small team led by a department head, it plays a key role in organizing scientific research, specialized training, and participation in national and international conferences and competitions. The department also facilitates access to prestigious scholarships, promotes intellectual growth, and ensures moral and material support for gifted students and their mentors.
Council of tutors
The Council of Tutors at the National University of Uzbekistan unites 102 tutors across 16 faculties, with one representative from each faculty appointed as a council member. The council plays a vital role in enhancing the effectiveness of the educational and training processes by supporting students academically, socially, and spiritually. Its key responsibilities include improving tutoring methods, fostering students’ professional and personal development, strengthening collaboration with communities and neighborhoods, and promoting national values, legal awareness, and a strong sense of patriotism among youth.

The department is responsible for managing and monitoring documentation related to full-time students living in rented accommodations based on lease agreements. It ensures the proper execution of relevant orders, processes student applications in accordance with Resolution No. 605 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan (dated September 24, 2021), and verifies their eligibility based on established social criteria. The department also coordinates with the accounting office for state-funded rental support, compiles statistical data, and prepares reports to ensure transparency and efficiency in student housing support.

The University Student Residence operates in accordance with the official “Student Accommodation” Regulation, based on Decree No. 107 and relevant ministerial orders governing student housing and spiritual-educational activities. Comprising 11 buildings, it currently accommodates over 5,600 students. The residence is equipped with all necessary facilities, including study halls, medical and educator rooms, spiritual-enlightenment spaces, and well-maintained living areas. Management of the residence emphasizes discipline, safety, and comfort, while also promoting active student self-governance through the “Student Council” and various floor captains. A wide range of clubs and events are organized to ensure a meaningful and healthy lifestyle for residents, fostering both academic and personal development in a supportive community environment.

The Sports Club of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, led by Chairman Platonov Andrey Igorevich, plays a key role in promoting physical education, sports, and a healthy lifestyle among students. The club organizes various sports events, forms clubs, teams, and sections for sports enthusiasts, and ensures the active participation of students in university-wide and public athletic activities. It also focuses on making students’ free time more meaningful through regular physical engagement and sporting initiatives.

Department of Scientific Research and Innovation
The Scientific and Research Work Department of the National University of Uzbekistan fosters collaboration between higher education, science, and industry, facilitating the commercialization of scientific research and the introduction of innovative ideas into the educational process. The department coordinates scientific projects, supports the development of scientific schools, and encourages faculty and students to participate in state scientific programs. It also oversees the training of doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, with 144 doctoral students and 184 independent researchers currently conducting research in various fields. Through active international cooperation and the establishment of scientific councils, the department has achieved significant advancements, including numerous prestigious awards and high-impact publications by faculty members.
