A Scientific and Practical Conference on “Promoting Lifelong Learning Opportunities for Women and Men: Achievements and Challenges” was successfully held

A national scientific and practical conference was hosted at the National University of Uzbekistan in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation and the Committee on Women and Family Affairs. The conference focused on the theme: “Promoting Lifelong Learning Opportunities for Women and Men: Achievements and Challenges”.

The event began with a detailed presentation by the Committee on Women and Family Affairs highlighting ongoing efforts to increase the number of educated and scholarly women, provide professional skills training, and ensure their employment. The discussion also covered achievements in these areas and outlined future measures, emphasizing systematic approaches to strengthening women’s roles in society.

Additionally, during the conference, Karima Norqulova, Chairperson of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs, emphasized that all women admitted to the master’s program by the state are granted the opportunity to study on a scholarship. She also highlighted that 300 special quotas have been allocated for women in doctoral programs. These measures were noted as essential for expanding women’s involvement in scientific fields and enabling them to showcase their potential.

Furthermore, the conference thoroughly explored the equal rights and opportunities for both women and men in the advancement of science and lifelong education, along with the factors that contribute to the continuous development of women’s professional skills throughout their lives.
