“Development of media in a changing world” media forum

On November 1, 2023, a media forum between the CIS countries entitled “Development of media in a changing world” was held in Moscow.
At this forum, branches named “New generation media education”, “Artificial intelligence: enemy or friend of a journalist”, “Telegram channels as the fastest growing media” conducted their activities.
Technological development has been influencing the training of specialists in modern journalism education.
The digitized world of media, open platforms and content space demands a broad outlook and activity from today’s youth. In the “Yangi Avlod media education” branch, there was talk about the changes in the educational programs in the educational system of the universities of the Commonwealth of Nations, what kind of knowledge is needed to prepare students in the digital era.
Zamira Abdullaeva, a teacher of the Department of “Audiovisual and Internet Journalism” at the Faculty of Journalism of the National University of Uzbekistan, took part in the forum with a speech on the topic of approaches to the organization of media education in journalism education centers of Uzbekistan.
Zamira Abdullaeva:
  – “Media, information channels in general have a great influence on a person’s learning. It should also be noted that the use of modern information technologies and the formation of skills are somewhat better developed among young people than older generations. However, the younger generation feels the need for the support and experience of older people in analyzing the truth or falsity of facts and their reliability.”
