Today, July 5, a meeting was held with representatives of Tomsk State University of the Russian Federation and the Siberian Scientific Center for Agrobiotechnologies.
National University of Uzbekistan and Tomsk State University have been collaborating in many areas. As a result of the meeting, a MoU was signed in order to create a scientific and educational center named after Mirzo Ulugbek on the basis of Tomsk State University and the scientific and educational center named after D.I. Mendeleev on the basis of the National University of Uzbekistan.
The main goal of this center is:
- To exchange of information on work carried out in this area between the two higher education institutions and the two countries;
- To ensure that the work carried out during the study is aimed at SDG’s adopted by the UN;
- To study foreign experience and creating a national system and introducing it into the field;
- To publish a number of articles in international and national scientific journals, revealing achievements in the field, informing representatives of the local population and the world community;
Also, the rector of Tomsk State University Eduard Vladimirovich made proposals for the development of cooperation in such areas as digital programs, joint scientific projects and academic mobility. In turn, the rector of NUU Inom Majidov supported these proposals and expressed the need to develop cooperation in the field of physics, biology, geography, chemistry and social sciences.
The meeting was also attended by a delegation led by the director of the Siberian Agrobiotechnological Research Center, Kirill Sergeevich. A memorandum of understanding has also been signed with this research center.
After the official meeting, members of the delegation visited the faculties of chemistry, biology, physics, history, geology and social sciences to meet with professors and teachers, and work was carried out on the gradual development of cooperation.
