A spiritual and educational event titled “The Symbol of Homeland in Alisher Navoi’s Teachings” was successfully held.

On February 8, 2024, within the framework of the 583rd anniversary of the Alisher Navoiy’s birthday, a spiritual and educational event titled “The Symbol of the Homeland in Alisher Navoiy’s Teachings” was organized at the initiative of the “Philosophy and Logic” Department of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The event commenced with an opening speech by Professor Shahnoza Madayeva, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences and Head of the “Philosophy and Logic” Department. In her address, she underscored the importance of the conference, emphasizing the need for students and youth to deeply understand and show respect for national values. The conference also included a presentation by renowned Navoiy scholar Professor A.S. Erkinov, Doctor of Philological Sciences at the Uzbekistan International Islamic Academy. In his address, he offered a comprehensive analysis of the patriotic themes woven into the works of the great thinker Alisher Navoiy, highlighting their pivotal role in shaping national identity and culture. He underscored that the ideas expressed in Navoiy’s writings are not only rooted in his era but continue to hold significant relevance in the modern world. Another researcher from the Uzbekistan International Islamic Academy, M.O. Madayeva, discussed the role of Alisher Navoiy’s works in moral education, promoting unity in society, and reinforcing human values. In her speech, she particularly emphasized the relevance of Navoiy’s creative legacy in today’s world, sharing valuable insights that could inspire young people to engage in scientific, educational, and enlightening endeavors.

During the event, participants had the opportunity to ask the experts questions they were interested in and received detailed, meaningful responses. Furthermore, the cultural part of the event brought an added charm, with students from the Republic College of Arts and Culture performing songs based on Alisher Navoiy’s ghazals and traditional dances, giving the event a unique grace and elegance.
