"Roundtable discussion with students on the topic 'Drug addiction is a life-threatening disease'"

Protecting public health is a priority

In order to ensure the implementation of paragraph 31.3 of the Presidential Decree No. PF-207 “On measures to effectively protect the health of the population and the gene pool of the nation from drug addiction and drug crimes,” a preventive event was organized at the Jizzakh branch of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek. This event was aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle among young people, preventing drug addiction and drug crimes, and increasing the legal literacy of students.

As part of the event, the prevention inspector attached to the branch, B. Rajabov, held a round table discussion on the topic “Drug addiction is a life-threatening disease” for students studying at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics. During the discussion, the students were given detailed information about how dangerous drug addiction is for human life and health, and how it has a serious negative impact not only on personal life, but also on the development of society.

In his speech, the prevention inspector emphasized that drug use can cause great harm to the human body, disrupt mental and physical health, and cause many serious diseases. The legal consequences of illegal actions related to drugs, that is, the penalties established by law for such crimes, were also discussed in detail.

During the roundtable discussion, students asked questions of interest to them, and the expert provided them with clear and understandable answers. It was noted that cooperation between families, educational institutions, and law enforcement agencies is important in protecting young people from harmful vices such as drug addiction and protecting them from various foreign ideas and threats.

This event served to instill in students a desire for a healthy lifestyle, an uncompromising attitude towards drug addiction and drug crimes, as well as to educate young people as useful and spiritually mature individuals for society. Such preventive meetings are important in protecting the minds of young people from various harmful vices and making their future brighter.
