The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the Youth Affairs Agency and the Department of Civil Society and Legal Education of the National University of Uzbekistan, organized a dynamic student-youth forum. This event, held within the framework of the student festival “National University – a Place of Wide Opportunities” at the National University of Uzbekistan, saw collaborative efforts with the “Taraqqiyot” club and “Let’s Study the Spiritual Heritage of Our People” of Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizamiy.
The student-youth forum, convened on June 14, centered on the theme “The Role of Youth in the Development of New Uzbekistan.” Drawing participation from students, youth activists, and representatives from academia, the forum aimed to empower and mobilize young individuals to actively contribute to the nation’s progress.
“We believe that the youth are the driving force behind the development and transformation of Uzbekistan. This forum provides a platform for dialogue, inspiration, and collaboration, empowering young people to become agents of positive change in their communities and beyond,” stated Bo’tayev Usmonjon, professor of NUU.
The collaboration between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Youth Affairs Agency, and leading educational institutions such as the National University of Uzbekistan and Tashkent State Pedagogical University underscored the collective commitment to youth empowerment and engagement.
Participants engaged in interactive discussions, workshops, and presentations exploring various aspects of youth involvement in shaping the future of Uzbekistan. Topics addressed included leadership development, civic engagement, entrepreneurship, and cultural preservation.
“The forum served as a catalyst for meaningful dialogue and action-oriented initiatives. By harnessing the energy and creativity of our youth, we can unlock new opportunities and drive sustainable development across all sectors,” emphasized Alisher Rizqulov, a representative from the Youth Affairs Agency.
The event also featured inspirational talks by prominent youth leaders, highlighting success stories, and sharing insights into the transformative power of youth-driven initiatives. Participants were encouraged to exchange ideas, collaborate on projects, and develop actionable plans to address societal challenges and seize emerging opportunities.
As Uzbekistan continues its journey of reform and modernization, the active participation of its youth is recognized as indispensable to achieving inclusive growth and sustainable development
