Preventive awareness campaign on combating corruption at the university
A spiritual and educational event dedicated to the fight against crime and corruption was held at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Intellectual Technologies of the National University of Uzbekistan. The event was attended by preventive inspectors of the Almazar district, specialists of the university’s Anti-Corruption “Compliance-Control” system management department, and the faculty leadership.
The main goal of this meeting was to raise the legal culture in the minds of young people, form an uncompromising attitude towards corruption, and strengthen the principles of honesty.
During the event, experts provided students with detailed information about the negative consequences of corruption, its harmful effects on the development of society, the quality of education, and the justice system. They also provided information about the legal framework for combating corruption, the content of the Law “On Combating Corruption” adopted in the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Presidential Decrees.
As the participants noted, in order to effectively combat corruption, every citizen, especially young students, must have a deep understanding of their rights and duties, respect the law, and be committed to the principles of justice, honesty, and responsibility.
The National University of Uzbekistan is actively implementing the “Compliance Control” system to prevent corruption. Within the framework of this system, all processes at the university, such as academic evaluation, contract payments, scholarship allocation, and personnel selection, are carried out through digital systems. This serves to reduce the human factor and ensure openness.
Also, the faculty regularly holds “Honesty Hour”, “Legal Literacy” trainings, meetings with prevention inspectors, and practical work is being carried out to promote legal culture and the ideas of honesty among students.
Speaking at the end of the event, officials emphasized that combating corruption is not only the task of state agencies or leaders, but also the duty of every citizen, and asked students to strictly adhere to the principles of honesty and integrity in public life.
The team of the National University of Uzbekistan considers the fight against corruption to be an integral part of the educational process. Through promotional work carried out at the faculties, digital management systems, and initiatives aimed at increasing legal culture, the principles of honesty and justice are being established as priority values at the university.
