UzMU — Towards a Green Future: A Bold Step Towards an Energy-Efficient University

The faculty, teachers and students of the Faculty of Biology and Ecology of the University traveled to the city of Nukus, Republic of Karakalpakstan. They are making this trip to actively participate in the All-Republican Marathon, which is being held for a noble cause – within the framework of the national project “Green Space”.

We would like to remind you that on November 9, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation will launch marathons throughout the republic within the framework of the national project “Green Space”. This initiative aims not only to protect the environment, but also to direct educational institutions towards sustainable development and energy efficiency.

The National University of Uzbekistan is also a leader in this regard, focusing its activities on the introduction of green technologies, raising environmental awareness and creating energy-efficient infrastructure. The environmental campaigns carried out by the university team, in particular, participation in the “Green Space” project, are one of the practical steps on this path.

Representatives of the Faculty of Biology and Ecology of the National University of Uzbekistan are actively participating in the marathon held in Nukus, contributing to educating young people in the spirit of love for nature and commitment to a green lifestyle. This is not only a tree planting event, but also a step towards a sustainable and energy-efficient future.

Under the slogan “We will turn new life into a green space!”, the National University of Uzbekistan team is active not only in environmental initiatives, but also in the introduction of energy-efficient systems on campus. Solar panels, energy-efficient lighting systems, and heat management technologies are being implemented in newly constructed buildings, laboratories, and classrooms.

Today, students and faculty of the National University of Uzbekistan are actively participating in the eco-marathon in Nukus, while simultaneously demonstrating a practical example of implementing the concept of an energy-efficient university.

Dear young students, let’s turn our new life into a green space together – let’s walk together towards a sustainable and energy-efficient future!
