"Strengthening moral values at the National University of Uzbekistan"
Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan has a systematic mechanism for monitoring compliance with ethical standards. As evidence of this, the first vice-rector Jabbor Muhammadiev and prevention inspectors held a meeting with the university’s volunteer public group “Kalqon”. The “Kalqon” group is engaged in the formation of the principles of honesty, respect and justice among students, maintaining public order and preventing crime. During the event, students were given explanations on how to responsibly approach their duties, maintain peace and order.
Extended meeting dedicated to student education and strengthening moral values
An extended meeting was held at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the National University of Uzbekistan for students, tutors and professors of the “Political Science” department. The event discussed the formation of values of honesty, respect, justice and diversity among students, as well as ensuring safety and discipline in residential areas.
During the meeting, an explanation was given about the moral values established in the university’s strategic documents and the activities of a special department that monitors them. Tutors and teachers exchanged experiences in supporting students and ensuring their spiritual growth.
This event served to develop moral values at the university and effectively organize the educational process.
Extended meeting on ensuring ethical values and student safety
An expanded meeting for tutors and educators was held in the conference hall of the Information and Resource Center of the National University of Uzbekistan. The event was attended by the university leadership, professors, deputy deans and representatives of preventive authorities.
The meeting discussed the issues of students’ proper use of the rules and created conditions, ensuring security in residential areas and effective organization of pedagogical activities. During the event, tutors and educators were given instructions on forming the values of honesty, respect, justice and diversity in students, and ensuring collective discipline.
The university also has a special department that defines moral values in its strategic documents and monitors the implementation of these values. As a result of the event, educators were able to work more effectively in ensuring the spiritual growth and safety of students.
Department of Youth Work, Spirituality and Enlightenment
Coordinates spiritual and educational work at the university, monitors compliance with internal regulations and standards of etiquette. Organizes various lectures among students in this regard. Educates young people in the spirit of national values, instills in them a sense of justice, modesty, equality, encourages them to love national values. This is achieved through various trainings held among students and various district events promoting equality and justice in relation to national values.
FACULTY DEANS AND VICE DEANS
Ensures compliance with internal regulations and standards of conduct at the faculty level, monitors student discipline and attendance. Works individually with students, provides advice when necessary.
STUDENT RESIDENCE ADMINISTRATION
Monitors compliance with internal rules and etiquette for students living in dormitories, checks compliance with the regime in the evenings. Also, organizes various trainings among students, promoting them towards justice, equality and a compassionate life, and organizes hashar in all student dormitory buildings and areas. Landscaping work is carried out inside and outside the dormitory buildings.
CHAIRMAN OF THE ADVISORY COUNCIL ON WOMEN'S ISSUES, ADVISOR TO THE RECTOR
Women’s Committee: A lot of work is being done at the National University of Uzbekistan on the concepts of decency, equality, and justice among 522 female employees and 11,714 female students.
The officials provided students with the necessary understanding and skills to prevent crime and delinquency, to form an uncompromising attitude towards corruption, to avoid being influenced by various harmful trends, to comply with the university’s Code of Ethics and internal rules, and to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safety of interns
In this internship camp, which is affiliated with the National University of Uzbekistan, the preventive inspector, Lieutenant U.F. Khidirov, spoke with the students. The students were given the necessary instructions on strict adherence to internal order and etiquette, as well as a healthy lifestyle. Also, young men who had completed military service and were physically fit were selected and a “Shield” group was formed to regularly monitor the camp area.
