On May 3rd of this year, the National University of Uzbekistan hosted an international scientific-practical conference on the topic “Current Issues and Modern Trends in Social and Humanitarian Sciences.” The event was organized in collaboration between the Department of Ethics and Aesthetics of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Mukhtar Avezov South Kazakhstan State University.
The conference was attended by professors, lecturers, young researchers, doctoral candidates, master’s students, and undergraduates from both domestic and international higher education institutions. They presented their scientific papers on current issues in social and humanitarian sciences and potential solutions. During the plenary session, participants had the opportunity to listen to the lectures of distinguished speakers, including: Associate Professor I. Avdeyeva from Moscow State University (M.V. Lomonosov), Professor A. Karimov from Innopolis University, Associate Professor V. Sokolchik from Belarus State University, Professor R. Imanjusup and Senior Lecturer T. Mustafina from the Eurasian National University of Kazakhstan, Head of the Philosophy Department M. Spanov, Associate Professors M. Rakhimshikova and M. Tanatarova from South Kazakhstan University, and Professor T. Kudayberganov from Osh State University in Kyrgyzstan.
Speakers at the conference focused on the theoretical and practical aspects of factors related to human development, lifestyle, spiritual life, and changes in worldview. They emphasized the role of social and humanitarian sciences in analyzing the philosophical essence of national and universal values and determining the place of philosophical thinking in social and spiritual progress.
The conference continued its work in the following sessions:
- The importance of social and humanitarian sciences in human development;
- The scientific foundations of cultural development;
- Global ethical and aesthetic threats in the virtual world and their solutions.
During the event, participants discussed advanced scientific ideas and modern methodologies, sharing their views on how to further enhance the significance of social and humanitarian sciences and increase their role in addressing global issues.
