rector of NUU took part in the Uzbekistan-China education forum

Today, the Uzbekistan-China education forum started its work in Beijing. This prestigious event brings together the rectors of 150 higher education institutions and serves as an important platform for comprehensively expanding cooperation between the two countries in the fields of higher education, science and innovation and bringing it to a new level.

NUU rector Inom Madjidov is also participating in the forum. At the same time, the delegation of the National University of Uzbekistan is conducting negotiations with a number of Chinese higher education institutions in order to establish mutual relations.

It is also planned to sign a number of cooperation agreements aimed at applying the experience of advanced technological production areas to the university.

Bilateral documents were signed between the National University of Uzbekistan and a number of Chinese higher education institutions at the Uzbekistan-China Education Forum in Beijing. In particular, a cooperation agreement on academic and scientific cooperation with Dalian University of Information Technology (NEUSOFT), an agreement with the People’s University of China on establishing an academic exchange of students, a faculty-teacher academic exchange with Beijing Pedagogical University a memorandum of understanding on increasing mobility was signed.

On the first day of the forum, negotiations were held by the National University of Uzbekistan with a number of Chinese higher education institutions in order to establish mutual relations.

In particular, a targeted agreement was reached with Jiaxing University on the establishment of a joint laboratory in the fields of chemistry, biology, mechanics, and geology, and with Heilongjiang University on the establishment of Chinese language courses for professionals.

Also, a number of cooperation meetings aimed at applying the experience of advanced technological production fields to the university are ongoing.

Chinese Professors Awarded Honorary Professor Title by NUU

In recognition of their contributions to expanding cooperation in the fields of science and education, the National University of Uzbekistan has awarded the title of “Honorary Professor” to the following distinguished Chinese scholars: Professor Xinhua XiaoProfessor George GaoProfessor Bai Chunli.

As part of the Uzbekistan–China Education Forum, the delegation of the National University of Uzbekistan visited Tianjin Municipality in China, where they participated in a closed meeting with the local administration and held discussions on prospects for cooperation with higher education institutions in Tianjin.

Following the meeting, Rector of the National University of Uzbekistan, Inom Majidov, delivered a speech at the “China–Uzbekistan: Tianjin Forum on Cooperation in Higher Education”, organized by the Tianjin Municipality.

In his remarks, the rector highlighted the importance of developing modern forms of cooperation between universities in Uzbekistan and China, particularly emphasizing the need to expand network-based partnerships.

On the second day of the China–Uzbekistan Education Forum, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the National University of Uzbekistan and one of China’s leading higher education institutions in the field of sports — the Tianjin University of Sport.

According to the agreement, the two institutions committed to establishing faculty and student exchange programs in the field of sports sciences, as well as conducting joint scientific research.

Rector of NUU, Inom Majidov, also met with Uzbek students currently studying in China, wished them success in their academic pursuits, encouraged them to collaborate with NUU, and assured them of support by providing the necessary opportunities.

In addition, Rector Majidov gave an interview to a Chinese television channel, discussing the practical significance of the China–Uzbekistan Education Forum and the prospects for mutual cooperation.

Additionally, NUU’s delegation is emphasizing data gathering and partnership development for the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly focusing on fostering international collaborations that support quality education, innovation, and sustainability. This aligns with NUU’s broader mission to enhance its global presence by implementing SDG-oriented initiatives, creating research-driven solutions, and strengthening its position as a key contributor to international academic cooperation and sustainable development.
