It is known that the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek maintains cooperative relations with a number of higher educational institutions of Germany. One of them is the long-term cooperation between the hydrometeorological scientists of NUU and the Potsdam Climate Research Institute.
Yuliy Didovets, coordinator of the project “Climate change, renewable energy sources and public health in Uzbekistan” and professor of the Potsdam Climate Research Institute, visited NUU as part of the cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany.
NUU vice-rector for international relations Raima Shirinova, dean of the Faculty of Hydrometeorology Komiljon Rakhmonov and faculty members took part in the meeting. The work being carried out within the international project of NUU and PIK Potsdam was discussed.
For information, the National University of Uzbekistan is ranked #301 in the SDG-13 climate change indicator in 2023 in the Times Higher Education Impact international rating for its scientific research on combating climate change and environmental protection. – took 400 places
