Raising a new generation that is loyal, selfless, and intolerant of corruption is a priority

Today, the formation of a loyal, selfless and corruption-free generation is one of the most important priorities for the development and sustainable development of every society. It is on this basis that a round table discussion with foreign students was organized at the National University of Uzbekistan. The event was dedicated to the priority tasks of the fight against corruption set by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and focused on discussing practical ways to educate the younger generation to be anti-corruption conscious, responsible and patriotic.

The event was attended by the university leadership and relevant officials, including Vice-Rector for International Relations Raima Shirinova, Head of the Department for Working with Foreign Students Ulugbek Okhundadayev, Chairperson of the Women’s Advisory Council Rano Rustamova, as well as Head of the Department for Managing the Anti-Corruption “Compliance-Control” System Shohnazar Gulomov. Foreign students also actively participated in the meeting, expressed their opinions and asked questions.

The roundtable discussion also discussed issues such as the first semester achievement indicators of foreign students, current study processes, visa extension and temporary registration. Open discussion of such issues serves to establish effective dialogue with students and ensure their legal protection.

Head of the Department Shohnazar Gulyamov extensively covered corruption cases in the higher education system, measures to prevent and eliminate them. He also provided detailed insights and recommendations on the implementation of the “Corruption-Free Sector” project. Through this, students learned about the practical aspects of the fight against corruption, as well as the responsibility and moral obligations of each person in society.

The unique feature of this event is that it is not limited to providing theoretical concepts, but is aimed at interactive communication with students, practical recommendations and exchange of ideas on future projects. This is important in achieving the goals of educating loyal and dedicated young people, encouraging them to actively participate in building a corruption-free and just society.

In conclusion, educating a new generation of loyal, dedicated and anti-corruption-minded people is a strategic task not only for the future of higher education institutions, but also for the entire society. Therefore, the implementation of transparency, compliance control and anti-corruption projects by universities and relevant agencies will always be a priority.
