A spiritual and educational event aimed at strengthening the principles of honesty in the minds of young people at the National University of Uzbekistan
A spiritual and educational roundtable discussion was organized at the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, dedicated to combating crime and corruption, strengthening the principles of legal culture and honesty in the minds of young people. The event was held in cooperation with the primary organization of the Youth Union, the university’s Department of Youth Work, Spirituality and Education, as well as the Department for Coordination of Student Housing.
The discussion was held at Student Dormitory No. 4, and was attended by the Head of the Almazar District Department of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, Justice Advisor Narzulla Kholtorayev, Dean of the Faculty of Uzbek Philology Muzaffar Chorshanbiyev, educators and hundreds of students.
During the event, students were given a broad understanding of the prevention of crime and delinquency, the negative impact of corruption on the life of the individual, society and the state, as well as the need to form an uncompromising attitude towards it. Experts made recommendations on the formation of a healthy lifestyle, compliance with the rules of internal order of the university, not succumbing to harmful trends, and increasing social responsibility.
As part of the event, a legal preventive meeting was also organized on the topic “Corruption is the bane of the nation” at the initiative of Akbarjon Abduraimov, educational advisor-tutor of the Faculty of Journalism. At it, new initiatives were put forward to students to prevent corruption, strengthen the culture of honesty, as well as implement anti-corruption ideas based on innovative approaches.
Also, representatives of the Youth Union put forward innovative ideas in the process of combating corruption, such as digital transparency systems, electronic appeal platforms, expanding open databases, and organizing “Honesty Ambassador” clubs among students.
This event serves to shape young people not only as legally aware, but also as honest, selfless and patriotic individuals. In this regard, the university regularly holds preventive meetings, competitions and educational projects, and consistent measures are being taken to create a corruption-free environment.
