The next step towards energy-efficient infrastructure at the National University of Uzbekistan — the Faculty of Economics Faculty Hall has been renovated

In the process of modernization and practical implementation of the “Green University” concept at the university in recent years, another important project has been implemented. The Activities Hall of the “Macroeconomics” Department of the Faculty of Economics underwent a complete overhaul with the support of the “UzbekInvest” export-import insurance company.

These renovations were carried out in order to hold educational, methodological, scientific and cultural events in the hall in modern conditions, and to create a comfortable environment for students and faculty. During the renovation, the walls, floor and ceiling of the hall were renovated, an energy-efficient lighting system, ventilation and heating equipment were installed. Work was also carried out to equip the hall with modern multimedia equipment.

Most of the new systems are capable of operating on renewable energy sources, which is an important result for the university in its efforts to save energy, reduce its carbon footprint, and contribute to sustainable development goals.

The renovation of the Faculty Hall was funded by UzbekInvest in the amount of 240 million soums, and this partnership has become a shining example of socially responsible initiatives between the public and private sectors.

Now, the renovated Faculty Hall is widely used not only for academic sessions, but also for scientific and practical conferences, meetings, and cultural events, as a multifunctional, energy-efficient, modern, and convenient venue.

This project is a logical continuation of the work being carried out within the framework of the “Green Campus” program of the Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan, and the university’s leadership continues to take consistent measures to introduce energy-saving technologies, use renewable energy sources, and create an environmentally sustainable infrastructure.
