Strategy and Strategizing Processes in Stable Conditions and Landsilde Emergencies

The National University of Uzbekistan recently hosted a prestigious lecture by Academician Vladimir Lvovich Kvint, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Foreign Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and a globally recognized expert in the theory and methodology of strategizing.

Academician Kvint currently heads the Department of Economic and Financial Strategy at the Moscow School of Economics of Lomonosov Moscow State University. He also directs the Center for Strategic Research at the Institute of Mathematical Research of Complex Systems at Moscow State University.

During his visit to the National University of Uzbekistan, Academician Kvint delivered a lecture to faculty members, doctoral candidates, and master’s students on “The Role of Strategy and Strategizing Processes in Stable Conditions and During Emergencies.” His insights highlighted the critical importance of strategic planning not only in economic development but also in navigating crises and unexpected challenges—areas that encompass risks such as climate change and disaster management.

Additionally, Murad Kamilovich Alimuradov, Deputy Head of the Department of Economic and Financial Strategy at the Moscow School of Economics, delivered a complementary presentation titled “The Financial Strategy of Regions and Corporations.” His report emphasized the financial planning aspects critical for regional stability and corporate resilience.

This event underscored the long-standing and productive partnership between the National University of Uzbekistan and Moscow State University. The latter has played a vital role in training scientific and pedagogical personnel in Uzbekistan.

A tangible outcome of this collaboration is the establishment of the new Department of State and Corporate Strategies at the Faculty of Economics of the National University of Uzbekistan in 2024, with Academician Kvint serving as the scientific advisor. This department is dedicated to preparing master’s students to become future strategists equipped to address complex economic and social challenges.

Looking ahead, the two universities will jointly organize the Central Asian Universitarium from October 29 to 31, 2024, fostering further academic cooperation and knowledge exchange.
