National University of Uzbekistan student wins bronze medal at international tournament
Sport is an important factor in the education of young people, ensuring their physical strength, willpower and patience. In this sense, the achievements of the students of the National University of Uzbekistan in international arenas are considered not only their personal victory, but also a proud result for the entire university and our country.
On April 27-28 of this year, the IX International Youth Judo Tournament “Khan Manas” was traditionally held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The most talented athletes from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Russia born in 2004-2006 competed in the tournament.
It is gratifying that Otabek Khusanov, a 1st-year student of the Faculty of Taekwondo and Sports Activities of the National University of Uzbekistan, also took part in this competition, fighting with skill and determination against his opponents. As a result, our young athlete won a bronze medal in his weight category.
This achievement of Otabek is the result of his tireless work, the painstaking preparation of his teachers, and the conditions created for young people by the university administration.
Today, students of the National University of Uzbekistan are raising the flag of our country not only in the fields of science and education, but also in various sports, achieving high results in international competitions. Sports competitions, clubs, and physical education classes held regularly at the university reveal the abilities of young people and allow them to succeed in international arenas.
