On February 23-25 ​​of this year, the Uzbekistan Youth Wrestling Championship was held in Jizzakh region. The strongest wrestlers from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, all regions and Tashkent competed in this prestigious competition, organized by the Uzbekistan Kurash Federation.

During the championship, hundreds of talented young people demonstrated their skills on the mat and presented high-level competitions.

It is gratifying that students of the Faculty of Taekwondo and Sports Activities of the National University of Uzbekistan also achieved high results in this championship, once again raising the prestige of the university. In particular:

Abbos Ismailov – 1st place in the +100 kg weight category;

Sardor Korjovov – 2nd place in the 90 kg weight category;

Bunyod Jabborov – 3rd place in the 60 kg weight category;

Jayhun Batirov – won 3rd place in the +100 kg weight category.

These results once again confirmed that the students of the National University of Uzbekistan are able to lead not only in the educational and scientific fields, but also in the sports arena, and are the result of the attention paid to sports at the university and the conditions created.
