Open judo championship held at the National University of Uzbekistan

Along with a number of sports events, the National University of Uzbekistan hosted an open judo championship. This competition was held in connection with the 106th anniversary of the university and as part of the traditional festival “Student Spring — 2024” organized under the slogan “Let’s build a new Uzbekistan together!”

More than 200 student-athletes from higher educational institutions operating in Tashkent city and Tashkent region came to the championship and competed. During the tournament, young people not only demonstrated their skills, but also felt the importance of friendship, solidarity and a healthy lifestyle through sports.

Representatives of the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan and the university leadership spoke at the opening ceremony of the event and made speeches encouraging young people to be active in sports, grow up disciplined and strong-willed.

During the competition, students demonstrated high skills, determination and desire for victory, demonstrating intense competition. The winning and prize-winning students were awarded diplomas, medals and souvenirs by the university.

This championship served not only to discover talented young people in judo, but also to spend their free time meaningfully, develop healthy competition among them, and further strengthen their love for sports.
