At NUUz with German experts
On October 18–19, a training-practical seminar on “QGIS Basics and General Overview of Educational Climate Resources and Water” was held at the Faculty of Hydrometeorology, National University of Uzbekistan, in collaboration with experts from the Potsdam Institute for Climate Research, Germany.
📊At the seminar, institute experts Oleksandra Khala and Dr. Lulii Didovets delivered lectures over two days to members of the faculty’s “Young Hydrometeorologist” club, providing introductory knowledge on working with QGIS and presenting various climate scenarios projected for Central Asia up to 2100.
🌍During the event, students not only acquired practical skills in using the QGIS software but also gained valuable knowledge on global climate change, water resource management, and environmental safety issues.
🎓 At the conclusion of the seminar, all participants were awarded special certificates, opening the door to new knowledge and experiences that can be applied in their future scientific and practical activities.
