Innovative projects of young researchers: Biopak and Ecotree
Project Biopak
Although the process is complex, it is highly effective: ordinary leaves undergo several technological stages before being transformed into durable and practical paper products. The most important feature is that this paper can be used to produce versatile packaging. Compared to traditional polyethylene bags, “Biopak” products offer numerous advantages – they are more affordable, safe for use in the food industry, and most importantly, they do not release harmful toxins under heat exposure that could endanger human health. Therefore, this project not only contributes to environmental protection but also supports the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
Asqar Ahtamqulov, a young and talented researcher at the Jizzakh branch of the National University of Uzbekistan, is a second-year Biotechnology student. With the guidance of his mentors, he is actively working on a socially significant project titled “Biopak”, which is designed to produce eco-friendly, safe, and affordable paper from fallen leaves.
Project Ecotree
Project Ecotree
The product resembles an aquarium in appearance and is designed to be installed in public spaces where people gather. It is created using aquatic plants that naturally produce oxygen. As a result, this innovative eco-technology not only purifies the air but also contributes to raising environmental awareness and fostering ecological culture within society.
These projects represent an important step toward fostering innovative thinking, environmental responsibility, and practical research among the youth of the Jizzakh branch of the National University of Uzbekistan. They are regarded as timely initiatives that hold the potential for wide-scale application across the country in the future.
At the same time, another group of students from the Jizzakh branch is implementing an innovative initiative aimed at addressing environmental challenges – the “Ecotree” project. This project is designed to help preserve the ecological balance of the region, with its primary goal being the natural purification of atmospheric air. In addition, “Ecotree” also serves to increase air humidity during the hot summer months, thereby creating a more comfortable and healthier environment.
