A preventive roundtable discussion involving students was organized at the National University of Uzbekistan
A preventive roundtable was held with the participation of relevant officials from the Faculties of Journalism and Uzbek Philology, Biology, Geography and Geoinformation Systems, Mathematics, as well as Applied Mathematics and Intelligent Technologies. The event saw active participation from the Rector’s Advisor J. Ruziyev, Head of the “Compliance Control” Department for Anti-Corruption Sh. G‘ulomov, and Senior Preventive Inspector, Lieutenant Colonel A. Abdulhaqov.
During the roundtable, students were provided with detailed guidance on avoiding the influence of foreign and subversive ideas, refraining from the use of narcotic and psychotropic substances, not participating in various public disturbances, and protecting themselves from corrupt practices. These topics were explained not only from a legal perspective but also from social and ethical viewpoints, giving students the opportunity to develop a safe and responsible civic stance.
Additionally, the roundtable extensively discussed preparedness for emergencies and natural disasters. Students were informed about how to protect themselves from potential hazards arising from floods, flash floods, snow avalanches, landslides, and other natural disasters, as well as how to implement safety measures, anticipate problems in advance, and engage in effective collaborative planning. This encouraged students to adapt to climate change, be prepared for emergencies, and approach environmental issues responsibly.
At the conclusion of the roundtable, the students asked questions of interest and received detailed answers from the experts. The event not only promoted legal and environmental awareness but also provided young people with practical skills for preparing for climate change and natural disasters.
