A meeting focused on enhancing the activities of advisory councils on women’s issues within the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation was held at the Oliy Majlis Senate building

On March 13 of this year, a significant meeting took place at the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The gathering brought together members of advisory councils on women’s issues under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation. The event focused on improving the effectiveness of these advisory councils, strengthening their role and influence in society, and advancing the promotion of state policies supporting women within higher education institutions.

During the event, participants shared their experiences and insights, exchanging valuable advice. Discussions focused on protecting women’s rights, encouraging their more active participation in society, and implementing new social and scientific projects. Participants emphasized the importance of introducing innovative approaches and strategies to enhance the effectiveness of advisory councils. Additionally, they highlighted the need to strengthen attention to the moral and ethical education of the younger generation.

Notably, 26 members of the advisory councils, whose contributions were highly appreciated, received special recognition during the event. Among them, Rustamova Ra’no Parpiyevna, Chair of the Advisory Council on Women’s Issues at the National University of Uzbekistan, Rector’s Advisor, and Associate Professor, was honored with a “Certificate of Honor” and a valuable gift from the Senate of the Oliy Majlis for her exemplary work. Under her leadership, the university’s advisory council on women’s issues has been operating at a high level, taking a leading role in implementing significant initiatives aimed at supporting women in scientific and social spheres.

Under her leadership, the council has successfully implemented several major projects aimed at enhancing the role of women in science and innovation development. Notably, efforts to promote gender equality, nurture leadership skills among young women, and encourage their active participation in society stand as clear evidence of the council’s effective and impactful work.

At the conclusion of the event, all participants agreed to work collaboratively in the future to strengthen the activities of the councils, create new opportunities for women, and implement state policies on women’s issues on a broader scale.
