On February 7th of this year, in honor of the 583rd anniversary of Alisher Navoi’s birth, the Department of Political Science at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the National University of Uzbekistan organized a visit to the Alisher Navoi State Museum of Literature. The event was actively attended by the department’s faculty members E. Nishanbayeva, O. Astanov, tutor G. Otabayeva, as well as first-year students from the Political Science program.
During the visit, students and faculty members gained profound insights into the museum’s history, the cultural and political dynamics of the medieval period, and the life and literary contributions of the esteemed poet Mir Alisher Navoi, guided by the comprehensive information provided by the museum staff. The museum’s exhibits, including Navoi’s works, manuscripts, and an array of historical and cultural artifacts connected to his legacy, were explored with great enthusiasm and interest by both students and faculty members.
Additionally, a spiritually and educationally enriching event titled “Understanding Navoi”, specially prepared with active student participation, was presented to the museum staff and visitors. The program highlighted the profound contributions of the great Alisher Navoi to the development of national culture and explored the enduring impact and significance of his works in shaping the spiritual lives of today’s youth. The event was further enriched by students’ heartfelt recitations of Navoi’s poetry, which added a distinctive and captivating touch to the occasion.
An open dialogue was organized among the event participants to discuss the social and ethical themes addressed in Navoi’s works. During this exchange, students and attendees shared their thoughts and reflections, fostering an engaging and thought-provoking discussion. The event was highly praised by visitors, who appreciated its insightful and interactive nature. Rich in dialogue and contemplation, the event concluded by providing attendees with new knowledge and lasting impressions.
