On February 7 of this year, O. Musurmonkulov and S. Suyunov, the Deputy Deans for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work from the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Geology and Engineering Geology at the National University of Uzbekistan, paid a visit to the Ibrohim Ota Mahalla (neighborhood) in the Olmazor district, which is associated with the faculties.
During the visit, a roundtable discussion took place with X. Abdurazziqov, the Chairman of the Mahalla (neighborhood), Sh. Shomasurov, the Assistant to the Mayor, K. Norbadalov, the Youth Leader, and M. Norxadjayeva, the Consultant for Women’s Affairs.
During the discussion, the participants reviewed and analyzed both the completed and planned initiatives aimed at supporting the youth in the neighborhood, fostering their moral and ethical education, and assisting low-income families and individuals with disabilities. Furthermore, they addressed the importance of engaging local women in education, promoting youth participation in cultural and educational events organized by the university, and enhancing the collaboration between the university and the neighborhood.
Additionally, at the conclusion of the visit, the delegation visited the homes of families with disabilities and those from low-income backgrounds in the neighborhood to check on their well-being. Finally, a plan for future collaborative activities between the Mahalla (neighborhood) and the MFY (Mahalla Civic Center) was agreed upon.
