Bangladesh Ambassador Visits the National University of Uzbekistan

Today, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bangladesh to Uzbekistan, Muhammad Monirul Islam, visited the National University of Uzbekistan.

The delegation was welcomed by the leadership of NUU, headed by Rector Majidov Inomjon Urishevich.

During the meeting, discussions centered on strengthening bilateral relations, enhancing staff exchanges, and expanding academic mobility programs between the two nations. The possibility of establishing joint scientific laboratories and fostering cooperation in scientific research was also explored.

The Ambassador emphasized the global significance of climate change and proposed joint research initiatives with NUU faculty to address its challenges. Specifically, he highlighted the importance of collaborative measures to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change, including adaptation strategies and promoting green technologies.

Future plans include initiating joint projects on renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and urban climate resilience. Both parties agreed to work systematically to implement these initiatives, aiming to contribute to global climate action and enhance academic ties between Uzbekistan and Bangladesh.
