Student of NUU took part in the training on the topic "Factual verification of incorrect information and Prevention of their spread

From August 16 to 18, 3-day special trainings for trainers invited from Uzbekistan in the field of journalism and law on the topic “Factual verification of false information and prevention of its dissemination” were organized at the school of human rights organized by the public foundation “Youth Information Service of Kazakhstan”.

At this training, well-known journalists of the Republic of Uzbekistan, FactCheck.net The moderators of the website, NGO leaders, international human rights defenders, and activists interested in research in education and related fields gathered to improve their skills and share knowledge and experience.

Turanov Diorbek, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Usu in the field of Jurisprudence: business Law, successfully completed his studies by participating in the training as a specialist in the field of law.

Training includes “Analysis of the audience in Uzbekistan and Central Asia: identification of social networks, channels, types, languages and fake news among young people”, “The rights of users of social networks and their legal responsibility for spreading false news” and “What is Fake News Propaganda? How to talk to your audience about fake news. Selection of cases for use in training” and other similar topics.

This training aligns closely with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions and SDG 4: Quality Education. By enhancing the capacity of journalists and legal experts to verify facts and prevent the spread of misinformation, the event contributes to the promotion of peaceful and inclusive societies.
