On July 9 of this year, the head of the National Research Institute of the Korean Language Jung Heewon, researchers Kang Miyoung, Yu Huijeong, professor Lee Jung Hee of Kyung Hee University and professor Park Jimin, professor Dilnoza Kalonova of Honam University visited the National University of Uzbekistan.
Vice-rector for international relations of NUU Raima Shirinova, head of the Department of Computer Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, prof. Nilufar Abdurakhmanova and the head of the international students department, Diyora Islamova, held talks with the guests.
The purpose of the visit is to get acquainted with the researches related to corpus linguistics of the Uzbek language and to establish international cooperation in this field in the future.
Nilufar Abdurakhmanova, head of the department, made a presentation on the researches being conducted within the framework of corpus linguistics at NUU.
In the future, proposals were put forward to conduct extensive scientific work in this field and to make beneficial projects between the two organizations.
