As expected, another gold from Diyora Keldiyorova!
Diyora Keldiyorova won the next gold medal of the Grand Prix held in Odivelash, Portugal. Our athlete, who participated in the women’s competition in the -52 kg weight category, defeated Rika Pupp from Hungary in the final and started the year with a winning streak. It is noteworthy that only a few seconds were enough for Diyora in this contest. Through this victory, our judoka scored 700 points for the world and Olympic rankings along with the gold medal.
Gulnoza Matniyozova is the owner of the silver medal of the Portuguese Grand Prix!
Our judoka Gulnoza Matniyozova, who participated in the competitions in the -70 kg weight category, fought with the Croatian athlete Barbara Matic in the final match, and our compatriot was not very lucky in this match. Our athlete won the silver medal of the Portuguese Grand Prix. Before that, Gulnoza had beaten opponents such as Lhagvadulam Saransetseg (Mongolia), Elena Deng (Austria), Alina Langweiler (Switzerland), Lucy Jarrot (France), Aoife Kouchlan (Australia). It should be noted that along with this medal, Matniyozova scored 490 points for the world and Olympic rankings.
Also, two more members of our national team, Obidkhan Nomanov (-73 kg) and Nurbek Murtazoyev (-81 kg) finished the tournament in the top five. With this result, they also got 252 points for the world and Olympic ranking!
