November 25 is the international day to combat violence against women

In connection with this date, an event with the participation of women was organized at the National University of Uzbekistan. University officials dealing with women’s issues, chairmen of the women’s council of faculties, female professors and teachers, female students participated in it and exchanged opinions on the topic.
In addition, the experts gave the students skills about the rules of etiquette and the concepts of fairness and equality. During the meeting, they discussed the importance of these concepts in the lives of students and the consequences of not following them.
For information, according to the resolution of the UN General Assembly on December 17, 1999, November 25 was declared the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. In 2014, the Secretary General of the UN launched the “UNITE” initiative aimed at eliminating violence against women and girls. In this regard, various events are held worldwide from November 25 to December 10 under the slogan “16 days against violence”.
