A comprehensive roundtable discussion on the topic “Corruption is a Threat to the Future” was held at the National University of Uzbekistan at the initiative of the Youth Union and in collaboration with the university leadership. The main goal of the event was to form an uncompromising attitude towards corruption in the minds of young people, strengthen the principles of honesty and justice, and promote innovative approaches in this regard.

The meeting was attended by deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, representatives of the Central Council of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, deputies of local councils, university professors and teachers, students, representatives of the media, and active youth. The event was opened by the leaders of the primary organization of the Youth Union, emphasizing the importance of increasing the activity and initiative of young people in the fight against corruption.

Anvarkhon Temirov, a deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, a member of the Committee on Combating Corruption and Judicial and Legal Issues, noted in his speech the negative impact of corruption on the development of the state and society, the legal reforms being implemented to eliminate it, as well as the need to improve legal culture among young people.
