Professors and students of the Faculty of History of the National University of Uzbekistan visited the Farish district of the Jizzakh region as part of the student festival “The National University is a place of great opportunities”.
Students and professors of the Faculty of History of the National University of Uzbekistan organized a trip to Forish district for ethnological research and tourism potential research. They conducted research in these areas in the district.
Forish district governor Ikrom Matiyev met and communicated with students in “Oktepa” neighborhood of the 3rd sector of the district. He gave detailed information about the life and tourism potential of the district.
For information, the village of Ukhum has a long history, the surrounding mountains and streams have been the conditions for people to live as a factor of life for thousands of years. The remains of an ancient village are preserved above Uhum. There was also a mosque and a madrasa for learning here.
The special canal built in ancient times to supply water to Ukhum was architecturally designed so carefully that it allowed to direct the water in that direction, depending on which stream the water decreased.
