International Conference on “Integrated Management and Reclamation of Degraded Soils for Food Security: New Approaches and Innovative Solutions”

As part of the commemoration of the 105th anniversary of the National University of Uzbekistan, an international conference unfolded, attracting scholars, researchers, and experts from various corners of the globe. A notable highlight of the event was the dedicated session for young scientists, specifically focused on the critical theme, “Integrated Management and Reclamation of Degraded Soils to Ensure Food Security: New Approaches and Innovative Solutions.”
The special session aimed to provide a platform for emerging scholars to present their research findings, exchange ideas, and contribute to the ongoing discourse on sustainable soil management and its direct impact on global food security. The conference, held under the auspices of the National University of Uzbekistan, showcased a commitment to fostering intergenerational collaboration and promoting innovative solutions to pressing agricultural challenges.
Distinguished researchers and keynote speakers in the field of soil science, agriculture, and environmental studies shared their expertise, providing valuable insights into novel approaches for integrated soil management and reclamation. The young scientists’ session, in particular, offered a unique opportunity for early-career researchers to showcase their work and engage with seasoned professionals in a supportive academic environment.
“We are thrilled to see the enthusiasm and passion demonstrated by the young scientists who participated in this conference. The innovative solutions and fresh perspectives presented during the session underscore the importance of nurturing the next generation of researchers dedicated to addressing critical issues like soil degradation and food security,” remarked Lazizaxon Gafurova, professor of the National University of Uzbekistan.
Themes explored during the conference included sustainable agricultural practices, soil health monitoring, advanced reclamation techniques, and the integration of technology in soil management. The diverse array of topics reflected the multidisciplinary nature of the challenges associated with soil degradation and the quest for sustainable food production.
The event not only facilitated knowledge exchange but also paved the way for potential collaborations among researchers and institutions with a shared interest in addressing the global implications of soil degradation on food security.
As the National University of Uzbekistan continues to be at the forefront of academic excellence, the international conference served as a pivotal moment for advancing research and fostering a collaborative spirit in tackling complex issues that impact the well-being of societies worldwide.
