Human rights education plays an important role in promoting respect for human rights in every citizen and ensuring their full observance, as well as preventing violence and conflict.
In 2020-2024, the fourth stage of the World Education Program in the field of Human Rights, aimed at expanding the rights and opportunities of young people by providing education in the field of human rights, is being implemented.
Based on this, it is necessary to further improve education in the field of human rights in our country, to ensure the implementation of the National Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Human Rights, as well as to effectively and effectively fulfill the tasks set in the fourth stage of the World Education Program in the field of Human Rights. In order to implement it on time, the Presidential Decision “On approval of the National Education Program in the field of Human Rights in the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted.
On June 1, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the National Office of Innovation and Technology Transfer, in cooperation with the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National University of Uzbekistan, organized the “Persons with Disabilities, Women, Children and the rights of migrants” was held
It was attended by Kahramon Ahmedov, Ghulam Kholmurodov, tutor Elbek Rozmetov, 1st, 2nd, 3rd year students of Social Work Department, members of the Volunteer Club
During the seminar, international and local experts, including representatives of the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights, the chief specialist of the Department of Analysis and Research in the field of Human Rights, Kh. Kholmamatov, and the chief specialist of the Department of Education and Enlightenment in the field of Human Rights With the participation of D. Rashidova, presentations were held on topics such as the reforms and state policy in our country regarding the protection of human rights, knowledge and skills to increase citizens’ respect for human rights, and the training of qualified personnel in these fields.
The seminar was held interactively, and young people got answers to their questions from experts. Actively participating students were awarded with souvenirs.
