The XIII International Online Ecology Olympiad for students from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries was held at the “A.D. Sakharov International Institute of Ecology” of Belarus State University. This Olympiad served as a major scientific event aimed at promoting the exchange of knowledge and experience among students in the field of ecology, expanding their understanding of ecological issues, and introducing them to the advanced ideas of scientists. The event was attended by dozens of active students from CIS countries, who tested their knowledge on topics related to ecology, nature conservation, and sustainable development.
The event was organized in several stages, including test exams on ecological issues, scientific research, and a creative competition (essay). At each stage, students applied their theoretical knowledge in practice and approached ecological problems creatively. In this Olympiad, students from the University’s Faculty of Ecology demonstrated their knowledge at a high level, enhancing the reputation of the university while also showcasing the results of ongoing reforms in the field of ecology in Uzbekistan.
In the Olympiad, on behalf of the National University of Uzbekistan, Stanislav Smolenskiy, a third-year student from the Faculty of Ecology, secured an honorable 1st place in the creative competition (essay) category. Additionally, Asilbek Salijonov, a first-year student, and third-year students Anna Vishnyakova and Aynura Turganaliyeva earned 2nd place, while Alyona Silimonko claimed 3rd place.
In this way, the students of the Faculty of Ecology at the National University of Uzbekistan successfully showcased their knowledge and talents on the international stage. Their achievements further confirmed the high quality of education and research in the field of ecology and environmental protection at the National University of Uzbekistan. This success not only highlights the prominence of Uzbekistan’s higher education institutions but also proves the leading position of the country’s education system in the fields of ecology and sustainable development on an international scale.
