Today, on November 17, the Delegation of the European Union in Uzbekistan, Erasmus+ National Office, Higher Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ministry of Science and Innovation, National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, Erasmus+ projects, Higher Education The international conference called ERASMUS+ INFORMATION DAY (ERASMUS+ INFORMATION DAY IN UZBEKISTAN) started its work in cooperation with the members of the national group of experts on Raima Shirinova, vice-rector for international relations of NUU, opened the international conference and emphasized that ERASMUS+ projects play a major role in the development of international relations for the National University of Uzbekistan, organization of academic mobility, and improvement of the quality of education at the university. <\/span>Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Uzbekistan — Charlotte Adriaen, noted that she is pleased that the European Union contributes to the scientific and international projects conducted with Uzbekistan within the framework of the ERASMUS+ project.
<\/span>Yaqubjon Ergashev, head of the international relations department of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, gave a report on «Scientific and international projects conducted in the Republic of Uzbekistan.»
<\/span>During the ERASMUS+ INFORMATION DAY international conference, the following issues are considered:
<\/span>Provide information about the new competition for 2024 in all directions in which higher education institutions of Uzbekistan can participate;
<\/span>Introducing specific examples of projects being implemented in all directions and topics of new projects selected within the framework of the previous competition;
<\/span>Based on the current issues of the development of the higher education system of the republic, taking into account the results of the completed and ongoing projects, establishing relations between representatives of higher education institutions in all regions of the republic and discussing new project ideas;
<\/span>Providing practical recommendations and methodological support with project development to universities that have little experience or have not participated in Erasmus+ projects before.

<\/span>Information Day for Erasmus+ This shows once again that we have the opportunity to meet experts and universities to see more opportunities. We’ll have a new call for proposals at the end of November, an opportunity to discuss things, learn more about what we can do together. Now, perhaps the most important thing is that Erasmus has been cooperating with Uzbekistan for the past 29 years, and we are strengthening cooperation with Uzbek universities and European universities, and we are very proud of this, because we believe that education is the basis of development and prosperity. In particular, today we want to create university-based partnerships that are more inclusive, digital and environmentally friendly. We know that this is really an ambition for both Europe and Uzbekistan. We are looking for an opportunity to expand the project, make education convenient and high-quality.
