a meeting was held on the topic <strong data-start=\"265\" data-end=\"343\">\u201cState Reforms to Enhance Women\u2019s Socio-Political Activity in Uzbekistan.\u201d<\/strong> The event was devoted to strengthening <strong data-start=\"383\" data-end=\"402\">gender equality<\/strong> and empowering women\u2019s participation in political life, in line with the principles of the <strong data-start=\"494\" data-end=\"562\">United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 (Gender Equality).<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"564\" data-end=\"823\">The meeting was opened by the Rector\u2019s Adviser on Women\u2019s Issues, <strong data-start=\"630\" data-end=\"657\">Lalikhon Mukhamedjanova<\/strong>, who highlighted the <strong data-start=\"679\" data-end=\"713\">key priorities of state policy<\/strong> aimed at supporting women, increasing their social status, and ensuring equal opportunities in all spheres.<\/p><p data-start=\"825\" data-end=\"1157\">Following this, <strong data-start=\"841\" data-end=\"881\">Dr. Enakhon Zaripbaevna Nishanbayeva<\/strong>, Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science, National University of Uzbekistan, delivered a presentation on women\u2019s active involvement in socio-political life, as well as the <strong data-start=\"1073\" data-end=\"1116\">legal frameworks and practical measures<\/strong> undertaken to achieve gender equality.<\/p><p data-start=\"1159\" data-end=\"1441\">During the discussion, participants received answers to their questions. Such meetings play an important role in <strong data-start=\"1272\" data-end=\"1362\">raising the political awareness and civic engagement of young people, especially women<\/strong>, and in encouraging their active participation in the country\u2019s development.<\/p><p data-start=\"1443\" data-end=\"1624\">This initiative reflects <strong data-start=\"1468\" data-end=\"1535\">SDG 5 \u2014 Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls<\/strong>, demonstrating Uzbekistan\u2019s commitment to building an inclusive and equitable
