The National University of Uzbekistan (NUUz)<\/strong> continues to strengthen and expand its international cooperation with leading universities and industrial partners of the Republic of Korea. A series of important meetings, partnership agreements, and memoranda of understanding were held during the visit of Vice-Rector for International Relations Raima Shirinova<\/strong> and Dean of the Faculty of Geology and Engineering Geology Akramiddin Umarov<\/strong> to South Korea in October 2025.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

On October 22<\/strong>, Vice-Rector Raima Shirinova participated in the Seoul ADEX 2025 International Innovation Exhibition<\/strong>, one of Asia\u2019s largest showcases for industrial, technological, and scientific innovation. The exhibition brought together industry leaders and academic institutions from around the world for B2B meetings<\/strong> aimed at fostering innovation and sustainable collaboration.<\/p>

Within the framework of ADEX 2025, NUUz signed an MoU with the South Korean company \u201cTAEKYUNG ELECTRONICS Co., Ltd.\u201d<\/strong>. The agreement focuses on the use of remote sensing technologies<\/strong> in geological exploration<\/strong> and student internships<\/strong> at the company\u2019s facilities. The cooperation also includes projects aimed at enhancing the university\u2019s investment attractiveness<\/strong> and strengthening the integration of science, education, and industry<\/strong>.<\/p>

On October 23<\/strong>, further meetings were held at Hanseo University to discuss the development of a joint master\u2019s program<\/strong> in geology and related disciplines. The discussions involved Professor Jun San<\/strong>, who presented detailed information about the curriculum design, credit system, and academic requirements<\/strong> for the proposed program.<\/p>

Both sides agreed to establish a working group<\/strong> to prepare the necessary regulatory documents<\/strong> and to coordinate the academic framework<\/strong> for launching the joint degree program in the near future. On October 24<\/strong>, the NUUz delegation visited the International Graduate School of Language Education<\/strong> in Seoul. This visit followed a previous proposal from the Korean institution to establish cooperation with NUUz earlier this year. During the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding<\/strong> to enhance collaboration in language education and student exchange<\/strong>.<\/p>

The agreement includes plans to organize internship programs<\/strong> for students of the Faculty of Foreign Philology<\/strong>, to host summer schools<\/strong>, and to develop dual-degree programs<\/strong> in the coming years.<\/p>
