The delegation was warmly welcomed by <strong data-start=\"801\" data-end=\"836\">Prof. Yokub Suvonovich Ergashov<\/strong>, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations of NUU, along with representatives of NUU\u2019s leadership.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nju.edu.cn\/en\/info\/1057\/10931.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">During the meeting<\/a>, both sides exchanged views on developing a long-term framework of academic and research cooperation.<\/p><p data-start=\"1069\" data-end=\"1549\">Prof. Tan introduced the history, traditions, and global standing of Nanjing University, while Prof. Ergashov presented the ongoing reforms and international initiatives at NUU, particularly those aligned with Uzbekistan\u2019s <strong data-start=\"1292\" data-end=\"1333\">\u201cNew Uzbekistan\u201d development strategy<\/strong>. Both leaders emphasized that strengthening ties between their universities would not only benefit faculty and students but also contribute to broader cultural and scientific exchange between China and Uzbekistan.<\/p><p data-start=\"1580\" data-end=\"1669\">The universities agreed to promote collaboration in several priority fields, including:<\/p><ul data-start=\"1671\" data-end=\"2379\"><li data-start=\"1671\" data-end=\"1818\"><p data-start=\"1673\" data-end=\"1818\"><strong data-start=\"1673\" data-end=\"1695\">Academic Exchange:<\/strong> Enhancing opportunities for students and faculty to participate in mobility programs, joint courses, and summer schools.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1819\" data-end=\"2058\"><p data-start=\"1821\" data-end=\"2058\"><strong data-start=\"1821\" data-end=\"1840\">Joint Research:<\/strong> Developing cooperative projects in <strong data-start=\"1876\" data-end=\"1950\">physical sciences, environmental studies, and information technologies<\/strong>, while exploring further possibilities in <strong data-start=\"1993\" data-end=\"2055\">semiconductors, materials science, and applied mathematics<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2059\" data-end=\"2212\"><p data-start=\"2061\" data-end=\"2212\"><strong data-start=\"2061\" data-end=\"2100\">Innovation and Technology Transfer:<\/strong> Sharing best practices on university-industry cooperation, innovation hubs, and entrepreneurship development.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2213\" data-end=\"2379\"><p data-start=\"2215\" data-end=\"2379\"><strong data-start=\"2215\" data-end=\"2252\">Cultural and Linguistic Exchange:<\/strong> Strengthening ties through Chinese language and cultural programs at NUU, as well as Uzbek and Central Asian studies at NJU.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"2418\" data-end=\"2796\">Both universities agreed that their cooperation should go beyond traditional academic exchange and extend to <strong data-start=\"2527\" data-end=\"2567\">regional studies and policy research<\/strong>. By building a joint platform for dialogue and research, NUU and NJU aim to generate insights that will support the <strong data-start=\"2684\" data-end=\"2712\">Belt and Road Initiative<\/strong> and contribute to greater mutual understanding across Central Asia and East Asia.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section
